The cash converters in Bury is a shoe box and doesn't compare to any other branches i have been to, the games they have in stock are limited and in certain cases overpriced compared to other shops in Bury, HMV is extensively overpriced for games and blu-rays, GAME has held a monolpoly in Bury for a while, so they can charge what they like for games, but they only cater for current gen systems, which in my opinion is a mistake, you'd be suprised at how many people still buy games for the PS2 and older systems, sure you can buy games etc from the net, ebay amazon etc, but i do you get a 3 month warranty on the things that you buy? and if you do there's the hassle of sending the items back through the post if they don't work.
GAME staff are not well informed on the sytems that they sell, for example i was told by a member of GAME that a PS3 only played PS3 games, but i found out from the friendly chaps at E3 that the 60Gb PS3 plays PS1 and PS2 games, and the the other models just play PS1 games, these guys know their stuff. E3 also sell new games at £38 which is cheaper than GAME and i have found that E3's trade in prices are well above GAMES, plus there's the bonus of import games for the PS3, which again i found out from E3 staff all UK PS3's play import games...bonus!
I say E3 is a breath of fresh air for the town and i wish them well in them breaking the monopoly of GAME in the town.
