Valley Connection

I thought they deserved a thread of their own :D best curries in Bury St Edmunds by a mile. Love the Hariyali :?: Chicken Masala (it's green!). Bit more expensive than they others but in another class. The only negative is being rushed in and out when they try to get several seatings on a Friday or Saturday night.

It's been said on here several times already but I couldn't agree with Bumble more - if you've not visited Valley Connection yet make sure you do. Best curry in town.

I have a negative or two ... It is never acceptable to feel rushed! :x The bright green curry  to me tasted sweet like food colouring. we call it the Super Cook Curry because it must be food colouring and India has so many beautiful spices why use super cook colouring?
I can see why vc is liked but I would have prefered it if Prices were a little clearer like for example the bottled water that looks complimentary and is placed on the table already but is infact added to the bill, also drinks priced high but not listed anywhere.all in all I found them a bit too obviously money grabbing! they wont get mine again.

I agree, we have eaten there three times, and each time the food has been very good, but the service far from perfect and has taken the shine off the quality of the food. We have been rushed each time, squashed twice into a relatively small area for 6 of us, the staff are off hand and not as attentive as one would hope, and there have been simple mistakes like being delivered a different wine to the one we ordered. I also think it is expensive compared to the other Indian restaurants in town, although the decor is maybe smarter. I am a big fan of Shapla, and more recently, Orissa on Risbygate Street.
