I went this sat, It was soooooo nice, The menu is exciting and me and my partner went for things we might not normally choose, He had Wood Pigeon I had my first taste of Hare for starters, The resturant itself was really warming and cosy with the roaring log fire and original bread oven the resturant is simpathetic to its past and bakery photos spread about showing the original workers and give a feeling of the soul of the building,
The staff were welcoming and very on the ball, The complimentary bread was fresh and warm, The little complimentary pea balls were a really nice touch, The food I could not fault, the food was so fresh and the home made dessert we both had was melt in the mouth in all I think we spent just over £86 pound and that was three courses each and two glasses of wine and two beers and two coffees! Thats not at all bad for food that sounds so exciting and well executed.
They dont add on Service Charge either which is nice because I always think Tips should represent the service and food, Needless to say we were Happy to tip!!
All in all I would say If you havent been do give it a go its such a change from all the food chains in Bury nice to have an independant thats so refreshing and not snobby or stuffy but with items on the menu most only see mentioned on Masterchef or mega expensive resturants

This is by far and away my favourite restaurant in Bury, the service and the food are second to none. The couple who run it are very knowledgeable about their produce, the menu is exciting and a little unusual at times, and the atmosphere is very friendly. The front of house runs a very tight ship, and the staff couldnt be more attentive, helpful or knowledgeable about the different dishes. They were very obliging when I recently visted with my sister in law who has a dairy intolerance, and adjusted her meal accordingly. I also think the prices are reasonable, considering the quality of the meal. I would thoroughly recommend it, we ahve been 5 times and are due to go again on Saturday, and the quality of the experience hasn't altered.
