Alas the shop next door to the jumper shop has shut. We're going to have gappy teeth on the high street for a long time to come, I think.

What kind of food is it going to be? Is it intended to be more bar than cafe or vice versa? Sneak preview of the menu?

Well if you want a suggestion for making money I'd rip most of the tables out, have bar seating, beer on tap and turn it into a SoBar/Hide equivalent. Lots of people through the door buying lots of drinks.

On the other hand, if you're asking how to make the current offer better I'd ditch the pies have a decent bar snacks and sandwich menu because from what I recall the kitchen isn't extensive? Good beer on tap is a must though, even wine bars need one or two beers on tap.

Saintbury, Do you remember a advert from a few years back where the business was a coffee house during daylight hours, and then at a turn of a switch became a restaurant in the evening, thus working to two customer groups, if you can pull that off it might work. What ever you decide best of luck. Seats out side seem to be a good advert as well.
