I have only recently heard about this restaurant following a visit there by my daughter with a works night out. On Saturday evening, after a hard day looking for a new car - long story - my husband, friend and daughter and I tried to get into a couple of other restaurants near the Cineworld complex, without luck. We decided to try Bang Bangs, and although they were booked out, they managed to find us a table which we could have for about an hour and a quarter.
The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly, the menu was exciting and the food was terrific. I was impressed that such a small place were happy to accommodate us when the other 2 places we tried would not, even though they clearly had empty tables. Bang Bangs is an experience I will gladly repeat and having told my relatives in Scotland about it, they also will be visiting it when they are next down this way.
Fabulous evening, fabulous staff and bizarre surroundings - what more could anyone want for an easy night out?
Keep up the good work.

I ate at Bang Bangs a while back and i was a bit dissapointed, Dont get me wrong I did Enjoy the food it was a nice sausage and mash but I have to say that I did leave still feeling Hungry after ordering the dainty portion, My friends who orderd the Diddy made me realise that I paid £4 more for a extra sausage! and i was more then a little peaved when the following weekend I ordered my son a child portion bangers and mash from Rushbrook arms and it came out with 2 lovely handmade suffolk sausages, a little jug of gravey, and nice dome of mash ("all very familiar") for just £3.50.
Bang Bangs is a classic example of two young people with a business idea (and i wish them all the luck in the world because its a dog eat dog world in food) and big hopes in theory, all very nice but to make a resturant work you need to think about so many aspects, Bury is awash with a array of high quality food, most sucessfull resturant owners have their knuckles to the grindstone in the kitchen pouring their hearts and passion into the food when they are trying to make a name for themselves,From what I saw It seems to me these people want to go through the motions standing about sipping champagne, while they hope the chef will feel the passion for them.I hope they can turn it around but just employing a good chef is not enough you have to have great staff and a good team around you because and cracks show to the diners
I found bang bangs to be a bit like a resturant with an identity crisis,it wants to be a hip trendy wine bar but in fact the food being a great british family dish it would beter suit a more homely warming feel,I found a table of older people that said they felt a little old for the place which is not a good thing when you want to appeal to the masses, I also had to admit i was unable to decide if it was sexy or tacky the idea is not altogether bad its just not been excuted quite right,
The food I did have was nice but too pricey for the portion size, AND SHOULD THE OWNER READ THIS PLEASE DO THIS!!!!-> a shame that with the sheer amount of different sausages they do and mashes and gravey it would be nice to have a set price banquet availiable for groups so that you can enjoy trying out all the different styles if it did that i would return!
Also I think a proper starter dish menu and desserts menu would help too. What willl the summer menu provide when the heat kicks in and the thought of a hot meal makes you sweat.

I'd be just as "euw" if there was a pig in Bang Bangs eating a pork sausage. :D
