Yes, the perils of town, you're right. But since Ambition has been a major source of peril (was much quieter before they opened) I can rejoice.

Sorry, yeah, I meant "targeting a new, uh, demographic."

From the perspective of one of Ambition's customers, I'll just be happy if there's enough space and air for breathing.

All you chav haters, by the way, might be interested by the rock nights they do on a tuesday! Much quieter and a higher average age by far. Nice chance to scope out enemy camp? ;)

Shame.

Seriously, though, I have no objection to chavs having fun. It's just the shouting, fighting, puking, bottle throwing and amusing 'jokes' with the traffic cones, all at 3am, that I don't like.

It was the Butlers Cellar. I used to work in the kitchen there! My first day on the forum and someone's complimenting my Ploughmans!

What is the difference between a night club, and a late night eating establishment which has a music licence, and serve drinks ?
Night clubsdemand exist, and the corn exchange does seem the ideal place for one.

Judging by the first four letters in this weeks BFP it looks like there will be some opposition to the Corn Exchange becoming any sort of drinking establishment.

I wonder if the council are using the threat of the place becoming a night club as a sort of worse case scenario whereby the local residents will accept just about any proposal for the building rather than it becoming a night club.

Anyway if it does become a night club – how long before “Stormin’ Norman” takes the law into his own hands and “roughs up” the DJ.
