The Guildhall

What are the future plans for the Guildhall in Guildhall Street? I had heard that the Town Council was going to move there but now that they're in the old council offices on Angel Hill I'm guessing that is unlikely? I know there is some sort of trust that looks after it but I've not heard about anything happening.

Looks like I'm wrong. I did a google search and it seems like it's another council owned building http://www.stedmundsbury.gov.uk/sebc/visit/Guildhall-Bury-St-Edmunds.cfm no wonder nothing is being done with it :)

(this post is a little late but oh well in case anyone else is interested!)
Yeah the building is owned by St Edmundsbury Council although the building is in use fairly regulary, the Theatre Royal use the building for rehearsing in-house productions such as the annual pantomine and georgian plays, its also used by the Theatre for a young persons theatre group. The Guildhall is actually also a venue for smaller shows for example 'Between the Lines' was performed there last month as part of the Theatre Royals Rural Tour.

I also believe their is a Guides unit there once a week?
