The only buskers I give money to in Bury are the duo who sing Everley Bros songs. My era I guess.
Oh and once to a chap playing a small harp. I have however bought Cds from a chinese group who
were playing outside Debenhams in Ipswich a couple of years ago. I have never seen such a large crowd watching as they attracted. Last year I bought a CD from Mr Chang Guido in Covent Garden of music played on a very old Chinese single stringed instrument called "DU XIANNQIN". No I don't know how to say it either! (We had been to see Cliff in his 50th Anniversary concert. FABULOUS!!!) My daughter always said I had a taste for weird music as I like Jean Michel Jarre/Tangerine Dream/Kraftwerk/Kitaro but also The Spinners/Cliff/Simon and Garfunkel/Johnny Cash etc. As you see my taste is eclectic. (Try looking up Kitaro on Last.fm on the web.)

We have hardly any buskers, which is a shame. I'm a fan of the accordian myself, especially on a Metro, esp in Paris...if that's not me being too specific...

Vilnius has a Street Music Day where all sorts of people and musicians fill the entire city and it is amazing - from folk country dancers to goth to capoeira to barbershop...I think this might be coming up next year here...hope so!
