Vista no, Its a Dell running xp professional home office slowly, and badly needs replacing, I am hanging on for the new op system in mid october. the basicc work but slowly, the disc drive gave up two months ago when I tried to copy a Pink Floyd dark side of the moon disc, and I know its still in there.......It been a long time since I owed a mac, i think DELL get my vote if the deals right. Then I can try out the schuffle.

I hear good things about Windows 7 (from people who normally say nasty things about Vista and Microsoft). I'll have a look at it when it's out.

Macs pre-OSX were awful. The company nearly died, and rightly so. I've been a Windows user since 1990 (Windows 3.0 on a 386), and in 2007 I wandered into the Apple store in Regent Street and said "what's the big deal?" and a really good chap from Apple gave me a tour of Tiger and I bought a PowerBook. Haven't look back since then. I can tell you that my blood pressure is provably lower!

We tried to decide but because the forum was in something of a hiatus which resulted in a lack of activity we're considering carrying it over to October. Full decision to follow shortly.

Thank you for the iPod by the way. I used to have one of the very old ones, but things have moved so far forward. The new ones are very pretty.
