That sounds very interesting, but why is it a women's issue?

Being serious for a moment, if this was a "White people" networking event, there would be outrage. Why should gender (or race) have anything to do with wanting to be in business. I can see 'rural' is an issue, but gender?

Remember KT1, it's not sexism or racism if it is against White Males, only the other way round!!

Thanks for your comments. It is a strange thing with networking. It started as a mans world with Rotary, The Masons, The Round Table which were all exclusive, then the women seem to have taken over the world! LOL There are so many groups now and this just happens to be a national one that's been around for 13 years. I personally like mixed networks as you get a diverse range of opinions. What do you do and what would you like to network? Would you be interested in attending a network in Mildenhall that I am going to be setting up? If so, send me your e-mail and I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your interest.

I can see KT1s point I guess , but thats like saying he wants to join the WI for instance.

(Hey that would make an intresting calender girls, all WI ladies and a KT1, maybe you could be Mr July as by your posts you like your bike I picture Abbey gdns KT1 with saddle covering his nether regions ) whoops admin will tell me off for not staying on topic !!

Its a fact of life we have womens groups and there are men only groups, and yes we would be slated if it were about race which is just about as daft as this about womens networking groups. Anyway the racial groups are all one sided anyhow as we have MOBO awards where are the MOWO awards huh ?

Hi Sally, I like your idea about the KT1 biker as a Calendar man ... lots of room for imagination there! LOL Let's wait to see what he has to say which could be interesting! Ooops ... that could be seen as "sexist", so we had better behave! What is MOBO and WOBO, etc.? Sounds like a lot of mumbo jumbo! LOL

MOBO = Music of Black Origin. That doesn't mean it is only awarded to black people though, it just means the music it is awarded for is a form of or influenced heavily by Gospel, Reggae, R&B, Hip Hop etc. White winners have included Justin Timberlake and Amy Winehouse. It's one of the most often mentioned examples of postive discrimination in awards but one of the least accurate! A better example would be the Orange Prize for fiction which is annually awarded to a female author.
